This Coronary Risk Profile measures all the different kinds of lipids found in the blood. The three kinds of lipids are LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.</p>
<p>This heart blood test also measures total cholesterol, which is the sum of all types of cholesterol in your blood. Elevated levels of total cholesterol in your blood increases your risk of heart disease. High cholesterol does not cause symptoms, therefore you may not know that your cholesterol level is high.</p>
