Methylmalonic Acid Blood Test

<p><strong>Use:</strong><br> This test is used to diagnose megaloblastic anemia; elevated levels of methylmalonic acid provide an early indication of cobalamin (B12) deficiency.</p> <p>People with vitamin B-12 deficiency almost always have elevated levels of methylamalonic acid, however positive test does not confirm deficiency.
