Columbus is more than just the home of Ohio State University. There are plenty of things to do in Columbus and a wide array of activities to suit any personality. No Columbus guide is complete without mentioning the many museums, historical sites, festivals, tours, and sporting events that are in and around the city on a regular basis or held occasionally throughout the year.
Sports fans can enjoy taking in a professional hockey or soccer game or attend a PGA tour event. There are also a large number of college sports to watch, thanks to the NCAA Division One Ohio State Buckeyes, and a minor league baseball team, the Columbus Clippers, which is the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

Columbus deals can be found at the many shopping centers in the area, including Easton Town Center, the Short North Arts District, Eastland Mall, and Polaris Fashion Place. For those that favor antiques over newly made items, there is the Greater Columbus Antique Mall, Grandview Mercantile, Columbus Architectural Salvage, and SoBo Style.
Amateur historians can revel in one of the many museums and historical sites that are in the area. Any guide to Columbus should include the Slate Run Living Historical Farm, the Columbus Museum of Art, the Ohio Craft Museum, and the Central Ohio Fire Museum, all great places for a history buff to explore.
